Due to recent personal matters and ongoing commission work,
I haven’t been able to dedicate as much time to illustration as I would have liked.
However, I’m pleased to finally share this completed artwork,
which I had started some time ago.

Although I have yet to read the original 1938 novel, I was deeply moved by the film adaptation of Rebecca, which inspired me to create this book cover illustration.
I included Manderley, the mansion where many of the story’s key events unfold, as a central element. I aimed to evoke a dark, ominous Gothic atmosphere overall.

To add a touch of old-fashioned elegance and classic charm, I placed deep red roses in the background behind the mansion.
